Inner Wheel Card Making Competition

At Sir Thomas Picton School, we have an alternative curriculum for 6th form. Over a period of 2 years, students take a City and Guilds course, Preparing for Employment. This enables students who need supported learning to develop their everyday basic life skills, gain independence and confidence and prepare themselves for life after the security of a school environment.

On Wednesday 1st April a group of ladies from Haverfordwest Inner Wheel Club, lead by Mrs Elizabeth James president, came into school to work with the sixth form Alternative Curriculum. They kindly shared their card making skills with students and a very enjoyable time was had by all!

The ladies donated a large selection of crafting materials to enable students to design and make their own cards independently. On the 16th June the ladies returned to judge the cards that had been made. They were extremely impressed by the high standard of cards.
